Vivo has officially begun teasing its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 6, highlighting a strong focus on artificial intelligence and productivity features. According to Vivo, the X Fold 6 is being positioned as more than just a large-screen smartphone. The company believes the future of foldable devices lies in enhanced multitasking, productivity tools, and intelligent software experiences rather than hardware advancements alone. To support that vision, the device will launch with an upgraded Atomic Workbench, a feature designed to allow users to run multiple applications simultaneously within a task-focused workspace. Vivo has also teased improvements to its AI assistant, on-device AI processing, and multitasking capabilities.

The teaser arrives shortly after images believed to show the Vivo X Fold 6 surfaced online during the French Open. The foldable appears to retain Vivo’s familiar design language, including a large circular rear camera module and a slim profile. Reports suggest the handset could arrive in a distinctive blue-green finish.

While Vivo has yet to officially reveal the full specifications, recent leaks indicate the foldable could be powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. The device is also rumored to feature a massive battery approaching 7,000mAh capacity, making it one of the largest batteries ever fitted to a foldable smartphone.

Camera upgrades are expected to be another major highlight. Industry sources claim the Vivo X Fold 6 may include a triple-camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The foldable is also tipped to retain a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Although Vivo has not announced an exact launch date, multiple reports point to a late June 2026 unveiling in China. With its combination of flagship hardware, AI-enhanced software, and productivity-focused features, the Vivo X Fold 6 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious foldable smartphones of the year.
