Shokz has unveiled its latest open-ear wireless earbuds, the OpenDots 2, alongside the more affordable OpenDots Air. The new clip-on earbuds build on the company’s existing open-ear audio lineup with a focus on stronger bass performance, higher volume output, improved call quality, and extended battery life.
The flagship OpenDots 2 introduces Shokz’s new Bassphere 2.0 acoustic system, which uses dual 11.8mm drivers arranged in a spherical design to deliver richer low-frequency performance while reducing distortion. The company also incorporates its MirrorPitch technology, which directs sound toward the ear for a more focused listening experience and improved bass response without blocking environmental sounds.

To further enhance audio quality, the OpenDots 2 adds upgraded Dolby Audio support, providing a wider soundstage and greater depth for music, podcasts, and video content. Shokz says the combination of its new driver architecture and sound processing delivers fuller and louder audio than previous generations.
Call performance also receives an upgrade thanks to a dedicated bone-conduction microphone paired with AI-powered noise reduction. The system is designed to isolate the user’s voice from background noise and maintain clearer conversations in windy environments.
The earbuds feature multiple control options, including tap, pinch, and hold gestures, while maintaining an open-ear design that allows users to stay aware of their surroundings. The OpenDots 2 also carries an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for workouts and outdoor activities.
Battery life remains one of the standout features, with up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 40 hours when paired with the charging case. The case supports Qi wireless charging, and a quick five-minute charge can provide up to two hours of listening time.
Alongside the premium model, Shokz introduced the OpenDots Air, a lower-cost alternative that retains the clip-on open-ear design while using the original Bassphere audio technology. The Air model omits Dolby Audio, wireless charging, and some premium hardware features but still offers up to nine hours of playback per charge and a total battery life of up to 36 hours with the case.

The Shokz OpenDots 2 is available in Black, Grey, and Pearl White, while the OpenDots Air comes in Black and Daybreak Purple color options. Both models are available now through major retailers and Shokz’s online store.
