Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book 6 laptop lineup with the launch of the new Galaxy Book 6 Edge, the first model in the series to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon X2 Elite processor. The addition brings a stronger focus on AI performance, battery efficiency, and portability, offering an alternative to the Intel-powered Galaxy Book 6 models released earlier this year.

At the heart of the Galaxy Book 6 Edge is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite chipset, which includes an NPU capable of delivering up to 80 TOPS (trillion operations per second) for AI workloads. This positions the laptop among the latest generation of Copilot+ PCs designed to accelerate on-device AI features and productivity tools.
Samsung has also focused heavily on portability. The Galaxy Book 6 Edge measures just 12.3mm thick, making it one of the slimmest laptops in the company’s lineup. Despite its thin profile, it includes a 16-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering sharp visuals and smooth scrolling for work and entertainment.
The laptop comes equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of SSD storage in its U.S. configuration. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of accessories and peripherals.
Samsung claims the Galaxy Book 6 Edge can deliver up to 22 hours of battery life, making it a strong option for users who need all-day productivity without frequent charging. The Snapdragon X2 Elite processor is also expected to provide significant efficiency gains compared to previous generations while enabling advanced AI-powered experiences.
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge is available now in the United States with a starting price of $2,099.99, joining the broader Galaxy Book 6 family that includes the Galaxy Book 6, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra.
