LG patents outward-folding smartphone with triple cameras

LG is yet to announce its first foldable device but over the past few months, we have seen a couple of patents for foldable phones filed by the Korean giant. In September, we reported LG patented a phone with a rollable display and last month, we also covered its patent for a smartphone with a display that extends, thereby transforming it into a tablet.

The most recent one is for another foldable device with an outward-folding design similar to Huawei’s Mate X. First, reported by LetsGoDigital, the patent diagrams show the device has three cameras on the left side of the screen.
