Upcoming Mi TV Pro will be powered by a new Amlogic chip built on 12nm process

Xiaomi TV general manager Li Xiaoshuang went to Weibo earlier today to detail the brand new chipset that will come in most of their new TVs. Interestingly, he says that the new Xiaomi Mi TV Pro comes with an Amlogic chip built on a 12 nanometer process. The chip was built in collaboration between the two companies, and Xiaomi seems to be proud of it.

Compared with the previous generation chipsets, Xiaomi touts that the overall performance of the new chip has improved by 63%, while the power consumption was reduced by up to 55%. Considering how the previous Xiaomi boxes and TVs already had pretty good performance, we’re eager to see how the new chipset stacks up…
