Doom 3 runs at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox One X

At QuakeCon 2019, Bethesda announced that Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3 were coming to a number of different platforms like Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Doom and Doom II are also available on mobile platforms like Android and iOS. If you want to play them natively on your console, you can download them right now. Luckily, the games are quite cheap because Doom and Doom II cost $5, while Doom 3 comes in at $10.

Since Doom and Doom II offer pixelated visuals, it’s not necessary for them to run at native 4K resolution on Xbox One X. However, a relatively modern game like Doom 3 is a different story. Doom 3 brought with it a number of advancements when it launched all those years ago like better lighting and shadows. Luckily, this port has been upgraded to 4K 60 FPS on Microsoft’s latest console.
